The Children`s University exists to provide a wide range of additional educational opportunities for young people in Swindon. Under the heading ‘Drumming for Fun’ Rhythmic Connection hosted a week of workshops with junior and senior groups, covering everything from interactive drumming to ‘Junk Funk’! BBC Wiltshire Sound were broadcasting live from the University on the final day. The last twenty minutes of the broadcast were spent in the Rhythmic Connection workshop culminating with the students playing into Queen`s ‘We will Rock You’ Children`s University manager Rob Crow had this to say; “One of our highlights. BBC Wiltshire Sound ended their broadcast with all drums blazing. Absolutely fantastic.”

Our last 'Drum Day' was so successful that we've decided to organise another! It will be held at the Highfield Oval (YWAM Base) in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, and will feature a host of well-known Christian drummers including Terl Bryant (Psalm Drummers), Chip Bailey (Rhythmic Connection), Calum Rees and Martin Neil. The day takes place on Saturday 15th February 2003, and will be £35 per person. Remember that as places are limited, you will need to book early to ensure your place.
